Co-Owner & Operations Director
Bernhard Loew is one of the most experienced hospitality professionals in Europe - and the standard against which LOEWERA measures excellence. Formally trained at a leading hotel college in Austria and at Cornell University, he brings both classical hospitality education and international academic rigour to every engagement.
Over a career spanning five decades across Austria, Bermuda, the United States, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Russia, Estonia and Latvia, Bernhard has opened and renovated hotels, co-founded culinary schools, built hospitality groups and trained the senior management teams of some of the most acclaimed properties in the world. He has worked within the portfolios of Leading Hotels of the World and Small Luxury Hotels of the World - two of the most prestigious collections in global hospitality - and has brought every property he led to international recognition. The last property under his leadership received 26 awards from the World Travel Awards and the restaurant was mentioned in the Michelin Guide.
Named Person of the Year in Tourism in Latvia, Bernhard's influence extends beyond individual properties - it has shaped the hospitality standards of an entire region. He has also served as a member of the board of three companies.
He does not consult broadly. He consults where it matters most: in the spaces where hospitality businesses are built, refined and made to last.
His reputation is built on precision. Where others see a finished product, Bernhard sees what still needs to be done.
Bernhard is a recipient of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Austria (Silbernes Ehrenzeichen für Verdienste um die Republik Österreich) and of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit (Den Kongelige Norske Fortjenstorden, Knighthood).
